Bellevue Presbyterian Church, Addition and Renovation

Owner: Bellevue Presbyterian Church
Location: Gap, PA
Architect: Cornerstone Design Architects

Most churches are a seven day a week business, so the challenge to the Horst team was how to add 7,400 square feet of new construction and renovate 80% of the existing space AND keep the church in business.  Multiple “mini-schedules” were created and coordinated to insure that disruption to the church, staff and members was kept to a minimum.

During the renovation the team found a beautiful stained glass window that had been covered by a previous project.  The window was incorporated into the design of the new stair tower.
