The Horst Construction 3R Team is looking for an experienced commercial construction Project Manager.
The Project manager will be expected to apply their leadership and managerial skills to oversee projects, job sites, and manage all resources, varying in size and types, from planning through completion. They must ensure the project is completed in accordance with contractual obligations such as staying within budget, on schedule, and meeting acceptable quality standards outlined in the contract.
The Project Manager will need to work closely with the jobsite superintendent, sub-contractors, vendors, estimators/preconstruction teams, architects, the client and their representatives as well as their own Project Management team.

What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of construction projects from planning to closeout. You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously and work closely with our Superintendents, Subcontractors, Vendors, Estimators, Architects, and Clients. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality work – on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leads, manages, and coordinates all resources to ensure project is delivered inside the scheduled timeline and within budget, in accordance with all contractual obligations to ensure Horst’s profitability.
- Develops and maintains pre-construction and construction schedules. Develops a recovery schedule as required to recover schedule slippage to maintain the contractual completion date.
- Responsible for the selection of sub-contractors and vendors, as well as the negotiation of subcontracts and purchase orders. Responsible to review and process subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Identifies business development and “add-on” sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project, and communicates information to the business development team if necessary.
- Create scope of work and estimates for prospective clients and projects.

What You’ll Bring
- Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively in the reading of blueprints and contract documents.
- Three to five years of construction experience.
- A four year college degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management or Project Supervision.
- Required to complete 30 hour OSHA training within one year of hire date.
- LEED, CPM, and/or USGBC certifications are preferred. Ongoing educational opportunities and certifications are encouraged.
- Valid driver’s license is required to operate company vehicles.
